My fave sci-fi reads | World Book Day 2019 |

Happy World Book Day!

Happy World Book Day everyone – possibly the best day ever right? In celebration of this great day, I thought I’d share with you some of my favourite sci-fi books!

Lauren James

These first three will come as no surprise if you follow me elsewhere (I’m neverlandvicki pretty much everywhere except for twitch – neverlandvicki_) but these books have been pretty special to me and that’s: The Next Together, The Last Beginning and The Loneliest Girl in the Universe all by the lovely Lauren James!

If you want girls in STEM then look no further than Lauren’s books! The Next Together and The Last Beginning duology are all about time travel and these two books are SO cleverly intertwined it still blows me away years on after reading!
And if you want girls in space then The Loneliest Girl in the Universe is the book for you! There are so many twists and turns and you’re guaranteed to fall in love with Romy!

All The Lonely People

The next book is one I raved about earlier in the year and that’s All The Lonely People by David Own, taking a look at social media with a whole lot of magical realism! If you want to check out my full review click here!

The last book I want to talk about is one I read a good few years ago now, I just checked Goodreads and I read it FIVE years ago??
Shift by Em Bailey is all about shapeshifting as you can tell from the title but it’s so creepy and intriguing that I was hooked, I’m definitely going to give this one another read!

What are some of your favourite sci-fi books? We’re always looking for new recommendations!
